Telangana State the newest state in India with its friendly industrial approach offers immense opportunities to entrepreneurs to set up industry in the state. Mahaboobnagar with its vast horticulture produce coupled with the agricultural and horticultural produce in the neighbouring districts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka offers unmatched availability of raw material to Food Processing Companies.

India is the world largest industry of food next to china and has the potential of being the biggest with the food and agriculture sector.

Accounting for about 32% of the country's total food market the food processing industry is one of the largest in india. The food processing industry formers an important segment of the indian economy in the terms of contribution to GDP, employment and investment.

India lacks the availability of suitable infrastructure in the shape of cold chain, value added country, modern packaging country due to which there is a wastage of farm produce.

Govt.of india has come out with a mega food park schema aiming at providing a mechanism to link agriculture production to the market by bringing together farmers, processors and returns less so as to ensure maximizing value addition minimizing value addition minimizing wastage, increasing farmer's income and creating employment opportunities particularly in rural sector.

The mega food park schema is based on cluster approach and envisages a well-defines agri/horticultural-processing zone containing state of the art processing facilities with support infrastructure and well-established supply chain.
